This is the preferred place to go: sherbourne.on.ca/ CAMH has had a checkered past to say the least. They are supposed to be making changes, so be careful if you end up going there. |

It took a little research online but Google turned up some sites and organizations that may be of help to you. One warning: stay away from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Its a very trans-unfriendly organization. If you followed the discussion about the revision of the DSM on (just about) every TS-related group and discussion list a year or two ago you know more than enough. Or Google the operation and get the straight skinny. bcholmes.org/ tg/ to-resources.html is a site with a listing of links to support groups, physicians, clubs, shops, etc. dir.yahoo.com/ Regional/ Countries/ Canada/ Provinces_and_Territories/ Ontario/ Cities/ Toronto/ Community/ Cultures_and_Groups/ Lesbian__Gay__Bisexual__and_Transgendered__LGBT_/ is another site about your local resources. wildside.org/ is a store catering to crossdressers and other transgender individuals. I am no fan of businesses like this as I feel that they exist to profit off of the fear and guilt some transgendered people experience. However they might have information on the local community. I hope that this is helpful to you, especially the support groups. During transition I got a lot of good information from others at similar groups. All the best - and good luck with your transition. |
